Congratulations to Mrs. Verrett for receiving the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Teacher Award on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the VFW Recognition Night in Wilmington, California.  Mr. Jim Smith from the Hawaiian Gardens VFW Post presented Mrs. Verrett the award for her extensive example of dedication to civic responsibility and patriotism.  Each year the VFW identifies and recognizes America’s best educators who instill a sense of national pride in students.
